LGLU began providing landscape maintenance services to residential clients in the fall of 1988.  Mother and son team of Susan and Greg Wright began with a few simple ideas that soon grew into a thriving local business.  It was only a year later that we began to provide commercial services as well as residential.

Susan Wright’s background as an Interior Decorator and avid gardener turned out to be just the right mix of design and sales experience the fledgling business would need.  Greg Wright had been working in the landscape industry and begun pursuing a degree at UMD in the Institute of Applied Agriculture the timing turned out to be spot on for the two partners.  

The company set out to provide professional Landscape Maintenance and Installations to the Howard County residents.  The company’s culture was and is somewhat of a hybrid between small family business and life study for its employees.  From the company’s earliest days the idea of providing an environment for its employees that delivered them with a safe, encouraging, enlightening and meticulous culture that would lead to individual achievement and the company’s long term success. 

 LGLU continued to expand and grow out of its original location in Columbia. The business moved to Highland Maryland in 1992 and worked there until 2013.  In 2013 Susan retires after 25 yrs. and the business office moves to Ellicott City MD. While the production office moves to Glenwood.  

By combining creativity with realistic planning, we are able to develope Customized Solutions that meet your individual wishes, needs, and interests.  By working with existing vegetation, topography, and the house's architecture, we are able to produce a solution that will satisfy the customer and work well with the landscape's specific characteristics. 

The result of such planning produces a harmonious and longlasting outcome that requires little care and a bountiful amount of enjoyment.
